5 Beauty Products To Try This June
Nexxus Shampoo Clarifying – I have been intrigued with trying out new and different shampoos that are truly sulfate free and don’t leave my hair oily. I don’t know what it is with many, but after awhile it just feels like they are drying out my hair or it doesn't feel as clean as I would like. So I decided to try the Nexxus Clarifying Shampoo. I tried a different shampoo after and honestly missed using Nexxus. Not only does it smell clean but my hair actually feels clean. My hair doesn’t look oily after 5 minutes or after sleeping on it. What’s also really nice about it, is that my eczema on my head is tamed with it. Again, the moment I went onto a different shampoo, my eczema startedto come out again. It's now been months later of using Nexxus…I genuinely still loved it.
Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Detangler + Air Dry – I purchased this with the intentions to help out with detangling my wet hair. It honestly does do the job. What I really love about it is the smell. The one thing I feel we can always appreciate with Garnier Fructis is their amazing smell. What I honestly use this more is for those days where you don’t have time to wash your hair and can only use dry shampoo. After using my dry shampoo, I still spray it all around my hair and instantly leaves a just washed smell all around. Two bonuses for the price of one.
Nad’s Facial Wax Strips – Being Portuguese I always say I’m blessed to have hair but unfortunately sometimes it can also be a bit of a curse. I am the first to admit that waxing my face is a big part of my life. I have been loving for about a year Nad’s facial wax strips. I appreciate how I can take this on the go, especially when traveling away from home for long. It’s so quick and easy, and most importantly, does not leave an irritation on my skin. Most of these to go wax strips I feel usually do a good enough of a job. But these I feel are as if I am getting my face waxed at a salon. Also, personally, I feel they are not as painful as many others out there.
Laura Mercier Translucent Powder – This is a product I notice I’ve been using a bit more of lately this season. I've been getting hit with my allergies left and right and noticed that my eyes would start to water a lot with blowing of the nose, sneezing, etc. By the end of the day my eyeliner and mascara would be smudged all under my eyes making me look like a Tim Burton character - mind you I don't wear liner on the bottom portion of my eyes. I decided to go back with wearing my trusty Laura Mercier translucent powder and it really makes a difference. Not only do I feel it brightens under the eye, but really does what it needs to.
Youth to the People: Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser – Standing in line at Sephora, I usually am one who is not distracted by the items they put near the cashier. Well, I decided to allow myself to be distracted with this cleanser. It is made with natural ingredients such as kale. I have been using my trusty Indie Lee for about 8 years now, and I can say I have found something possibly even a bit better. I have truly felt my skin feel and look different. My breakouts have been less and less. I’ve purchased two of the travel bottles and they have lasted honestly about a month each. However, now I have switched to the larger bottle since both Hancy and myself use it. The only thing to note is that the bottle is glass, so be careful when using it. You wouldn't want to drop it and potentially break it.
